A Country Church

Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church is located in the center of the village of Mount Pleasant, ten kilometers south of the city of Brantford in Southern Ontario. Its location offers both the advantages of a rural setting and the conveniences of nearby urban centers.

Worship

Worship is an important part of church life. Our regular Sunday worship service starts at 10:00 a.m. and runs for about an hour. The service is fairly relaxed. Piano music and singing are a big part of the service and the children's stories are highly interactive.

Besides the regular Sunday service, Mount Pleasant also conducts a number of special services. These include a Good Friday service, a Christmas Eve Service and Anniversary and Thanksgiving Services. Coffee hours are held following the services on the second Sunday of each month.

Coffee Hour

On the second Sunday of every month, people are invited to stay after church and enjoy coffee and snacks. Donations of loose change are gratefully accepted in The Bread Box. Money collected goes to support our sponsored child in Uganda.

Food Bank Sunday

The first Sunday of every month is Food Bank Sunday. On that day, donations are collected for the Brant County Food Bank.

Communion

Communion is celebrated four times a year. On Communion Sundays, all of the loose offering in the collection plate is donated to a charity selected by the members of the Session.

Events

A number of events are held annually. Details about each event are posted on the announcements board on the Home page.
