Best wishes
to Neil M. who is celebrating a birthday this week. The first Sunday of each
month is Food Bank Sunday. Please bring a donation if you are able. The Community Garden
behind the church needs volunteers. Planting will happen Sunday, May 31st
from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. weather permitting. After that, there’s always weeding
and watering to do. Drop in anytime if you want to help or contact the church
for more information. Breath of Spring Ladies
Evening
at Burtch Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 2nd. Mix and mingle
starts at 6:15, followed by dessert at 6:30. Guest speaker: Rev. Lola Mather
Dyer. A free will offering will benefit local missions. Wear your “Spring
Bonnet.” Holy Communion will be
celebrated on Sunday, June 7th. The new trees in the
Memorial Forest will be dedicated on Sunday, June 14th. A coffee
hour will follow the service. The church yard sale is
set for the morning of Saturday, July 4th. Donated items can be
left on the stage in St. Andrew’s Hall. The Bible Study group meets Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. in the homes
of group members. Please call Donald Young at

the service on the second Sunday of every month. Donations made at coffee
hour over the second half of the year will support our sponsored child in
Palestine. Thanks to everyone who supported the Alzheimer’s Walk in the first
