COMMUNION TABLE

In 1937, a Communion Table, made by William Telfer, was given to the church by the young people. The table runner, donated at that time by Mr. and Mrs. Neil MacPherson Sr. is now on display in the church. A new runner and two new pulpit falls were more recently donated by the Gribben family.

HERITAGE CANDLESTICKS

In 2019, the floor in Heritage Hall beneath the church sanctuary needed to be replaced. The supporting pillars had to be replaced to accommodate the new cement floor.

Kevin Weir, the chair of the Board of Managers, crafted a pair of matching candlesticks from sections of the original pillars. The wood is old growth red pine. There were over 100 growth rings in the 6-inch diameter pillars. It was all clear, with no knots, but about eight tacks and nails that had been painted over caused him to have to sharpen the roughing gouge several times. The candle sticks hold 3-inch candles.
