MINISTER

Dean grew up in the Brantford area and graduated from Brantford Collegiate Institute. He is the son of June and the late Tom Adlam. Dean married his wife, Nadine, on September 2, 1988. They were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Coral, in March 2006.

Dean was a Certified Management Accountant and worked in business for 13 years before hearing his call to ministry. He studied at Knox College from September 1998 until May 2001 where he earned his Master of Divinity degree. During those three years Dean served as a student minister at Mount Pleasant/ Knox Brantford and Central Presbyterian Church, Brantford.

He was ordained on June 24, 2001, and started his ministry at the Petrolia/Knox Dawn charge before moving to Mount Pleasant.

Dean is a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs which proves both his dedication and his resilience.

MUSIC DIRECTOR

At the age of 3 years old, Amy Groleau expressed an interest in playing the piano. Thus began the lessons, and she studied music throughout high school and university.

Amy has been a church musician and piano accompanist for more than 45 years. In addition to planning music for worship services at Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church for the past 17 years, she celebrates 29 years as a civil servant in Public Works Engineering Services for a local municipality.

As the accompanist and concert co-ordinator for the Brant County Singers and Brant Men of Song for the past 25 years, Amy is honoured to be the longest-standing pianist for these two community choruses.

You know what music is? God’s little reminder that there’s something else besides us in the universe; harmonic connection between all living beings, everywhere, even the stars.   - Robin Williams
