THE MOUNT PLEASANT MEMORIAL
FOREST |
|
|
|
Trees are a symbol of life. Historically, their
benefits to humans are well known. They regulate temperature, improve the
soil, prevent erosion and provide a habitat for wildlife. However, their most
important function today is their ability to absorb carbon dioxide from the
atmosphere. Planting trees is the cheapest way to tackle climate change. Each
tree planted in the Memorial Forest is more than a memory of the person it
represents. It is a promise to future generations that they too will grow up
on a thriving and healthy planet. To learn more about the Mt. Pleasant Village
Memorial Forest or to sponsor a tree as a memorial to a loved one, please email
us at contact@mppchurch.ca or find us on facebook at Mount Pleasant
Presbyterian Church. |
